Creating the Game’s Visual Style
Stretch - English Version » Devlog

We didn’t want Stretch to look like a sports anime. Or a high-end art piece. We wanted something warm, slightly goofy, and grounded—like a memory from a summer school club that never really existed.
That meant soft colors. Slightly washed-out backgrounds. Lots of blue sky and empty classrooms. And a bit of awkward charm in every character sprite. It’s not perfect—and that’s exactly what we wanted.
