Stretch - English Version » Devlog

Stretch was originally written in Japanese—and translating it wasn’t just about language. It was about tone. Humor. Rhythm. Stretching jokes don’t always bend the same way across cultures.
Rather than translating word-for-word, we focused on tone-preservation. If a line was funny in Japanese but flat in English, we rewrote it. We’d rather capture the feeling than the literal meaning. Hopefully, it still stretches your brain the way it should.
