Cats as working adults: an escape from reality in a dream world

In Stretch, there’s a chapter where the protagonist—burnt out, cornered—just… dreams.

She dreams she’s a working adult in a society of cats. A responsible member of the feline workforce.

It’s cute. It’s ridiculous. And yet—it hits hard.

Because that’s how escape works: funny on the surface, painful underneath.

I had a lot of fun writing this arc. It’s one of the strangest in the game—and one of the most honest.
