No BGM, No Problem — When Silence Speaks Louder
Stretch (English Trial Version) » Devlog

Unlike many visual novels, Stretch has no background music.
Not because we forgot, or couldn’t. Just because… we didn’t want to.
The buzzing of cicadas in the distance. The sound of a door closing, laughter from another room, footsteps down a hallway. The sound of champagne pouring into a glass.
That’s our background music.
This isn’t a coincidence. It’s a design decision. We wanted to create a real-life-like space that you, the player, could emote.
There are no high-pitched strings telling you it’s time to cry. No piano chords to make something feel “important”.
Just you, the scenery, and the sounds of the world quietly breathing around you.
Sometimes silence is the bravest sound.
